Healthy conflict builds relationship

Shouting won’t solve your problems and neither will avoiding them: come and find out about Conflict 101

Christian community flourishes where relationships are healthy. Do not let differences of opinions and attitudes break relationships.

This workshop is for leaders who want to understand the causes and levels of conflict, and how to respond appropriately based on the different needs that people have in different types of conflict. Through education, discussion and practical tools that can be applied immediately, people will be better equipped to respond to conflict and to support healthy and effective communities.

A day of training for both lay and clergy interested in conflict resolution 101, recognising the different causes and levels of conflict and how to effectively respond in work/community settings. Some of what you will learn: general mediation and facilitated conversations skill, learning to diagnose the conflict and develop the appropriate responses – through groupwork and action/reflection opportunities.

Have you ever:

  • tried to mediate between two parties and had it not go to plan?

  • struggled with navigating a shared space and wondered how to strike a balance between being a dictator or becoming a doormat?

  • had two parties with good ideas, but only one can go ahead?

  • found yourself in a situation with high levels of conflict and wanted to de-escalate?

Well then this is the day you have been praying for!
